Community Organizer Job Posting

Come join us! We’re looking for a full time community organizer who is passionate about LGBTQ issues to join our team! MassEquality seeks a Community Organizer with at least two years experience, to build long-term community and political infrastructure to ensure Massachusetts’ continued leadership in promoting and advancing equality and justice for all members of the LGBT community.

Interns

MassEquality welcomes interns during the summer and school year. It’s a great opportunity to and to make a difference for the LGBTQ+ community through your day-to-day work.

Program and Organizing interns will advance MassEquality’s grassroots lobbying and educational campaigns. Interns support the work of MassEquality affiliates in their area, including assistance recruiting volunteers, managing lists, organizing field activities, and responding to the needs of area activists. In addition, organizing interns will assist as needed with research, database management and other necessary tasks. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with MassEquality staff and to take on independent projects.

MassEquality.org seeks interns who understand and support our mission, are hard-working, are able to successfully complete projects, and are comfortable using computers.

MassEquality offers unpaid internships. Some interns may be able to arrange for funding and/or course credit from their school. Time requirements are flexible, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week during the school year and part-time to full-time during the summer.
